Black Meadow presents: Cult of Dissolution II with Vestia, Ominous Covenant and Infected Dead 24/10/25, Archway Tavern, London

Medway based Death Metal five piece Infected Dead open the second edition of Cult of Dissolution in North London's Archway. A stones throw away from the chaos of Camden, a more quieter suburban back street area feels like a perfect setting for a night dark of ominous Metal. Infected Dead's guitarist Alex Brown plays leads that have you hypnotise as you watch his fingers glide over the frets forming unimaginable shapes. The rest of the band tightly growl, chug and blastbeat through a set that is mostly new unreleased material from an up coming ep. They play Death Metal with breakdows and Mathcore technicality and three songs into the set they build an intense momentum with Astral Divinity which they carry right through to their set closing cover of Decapitated’s Sphere of Madness.
Omnius Covenant are making a their London debut tonight, and they bring an atmosphere that should reek of incense and ritual bloodletting. They've had only one song ‘the Great Sinner Whore’ knocking around the Internet for three years so there is much mystery surrounding what this band going to produce for which they dont disappoint. Their performance is a cacophony of old school unholy Black Metal energy, masked in . Bleak and raw sounding guitars cut through intense howls and blastbeats results in a powerful and imersive experience.
Hellinic Black Metallers Vestia are marking this as their first London headline appearance. Their sinister sound which is influenced by Greek mythology, has been screaming through the underground since their forming in 2022 having supported such legends as Taake, Ante-Inferno and Sidious as well making their headline debut in Brighton and being added to next year’s Reaper fest and Cosmic Void. Tonight they play set that is as special to them as it is to the audience that have turned up tonight, including someone in full medieval armour complete with sword which is often waved over the congregation of placid nodding heads. Playing songs from their debut album the Achreon and a few new ones, they’re very reminiscent of the old guard of the 90s that spawned this scene paying tribute to those trod the left hand path before them with atmospheric guitars, and of course the ever present blastbeats whilst guitarist/vocalist Elegy screams, snarls and writhes. They close their set to a rapturous reception placing them now firmly as a band to watch closely.
