A Local football team have recently won a sports thing and now 1.5 million fans in red t-shirts stand between my doorstep a Haggerston Signature Brew, where the UK Symphonic Goths Order are holding the first Symphonic Goths Summer Festival. You read that correctly, Goths in summer. Although thankfully not in the devastating heatwave we saw over the past week, but still a bit on the warm side nonetheless. Openers Skarlet Envy from Hertfordshire have opted for more summer Goth attire than usual getup, stirring the audience with hard hitting Goth Metal with Grooves from face painted ghouls. Their sound mixes influence’s from 80s Alternative to more Metal leanings. They’re followed by Yorkshire’s Hemloch who’s whimsical Symphonic Goth Metalcore led by vocalist Annabel draped in moth wings, have excited some fans who holdup some homemade placards throughout the set.
