London Gig Guide 29/05/2026

This weekend see’s hordes of Black Metal fans heading up to Scarborough for Fortress Fest who nabbed almost every band on the bill as a UK exclusive so, no cheeky little London gigs for those of us stuck in this humid sweltering city. On Sunday however there is the first ever Symphonic + Goths Summer Fest at the Signature Brew in Haggerston that sees a strong six band bill with Tales of Perdition headlining along with Deity and Devilry, Tristyn to name a few, £11 in advance for that one.

At the tine of writing I noticed that the London Metal Coalition have announced their next Battle of the Brews at Signature Brew on Blackhorse Road. The line up this is Them Bloody Kids with Kensei, Grifter and Aggro. As usual it will be free entry and will feature the Coalition Bazaar with some crafters selling their wares.

Last weekend Crowblind to celebrate Ades birthday and the new Attention Please ep from Halberd, had an all dayer at the Big Red. First time I’ve been to the new venue and its much nicer than their old digs on Holloway Road except the sound guy kept fucking up everyone’s sound, particularly at the start of sets. Couldn’t really hear the guitars much for some of the sets. Not denigrate the venue but maybe they should look into getting a competent sound guy as they used the guy from Fiddlers Elbow who has fucked bands sound there as well. The bands themselves were fucking awesome. I arrived during Slaughter Theory who were already Thrashing about the hot sweaty stage. Tales of Perdition belted out short but sweet set as did Oath, Aggro, Day 40, Fall of Saturn, Slave Steel and the and the night finished off with blood splattered set from Halberd.

Scouring the internet to keep the Metalheads entertained over the weekend. Saturday has loads going on including the return of Snuff Fest which ironically most of us thought was dead. W hilst  my personal life currently in  tatters,   it's  been difficult to get my head together long enough to get a blog together. But its Friday,  I'm  suspended from work till fuck knows when so,  going to  hyper focus on this for a  bit. There are three straight nights of  Thrash/ Deathcore / Hardcore /Death Metal   at the Dev .  Symbyote  are playing  Friday and Sunday  supporting 1986  with vocalist Dan’s other band the Slaughtering  with whom he plays guitar. Saturday  will be Thrash heavy with   Halberd   and  the aptly named  Thrash  Mob  along with one man battering machine Heart Ripper .  And  that's  just the Dev... UK Death Dealers Present in association with London Metal Coalition: The Road to London Metal Pride. Signiture Brew, Haggerston 06/12/25

Gay Pride 2025 was the first ever London Metal Pride event, celebrating queer musicians in the scene. The Metal and Hardcore scenes have seen rise in non-binary, queer and trans folk in recent years so having a stage during the summers biggest LGBTQ+ event is as integral now as ever before. The event in 2025 was hosted by LMC member and Davghter Front-woman Izzy and showcases queer and queer aligned bands battling for a place for the 2026 London Metal Pride. Five bands compete (was six but one pulled out) with London True Trans Black Metal band Davghter as special headliners. But it’s the punters who will decide the outcome as each have been given a voting chip to be placed in ballot boxes after the fifth band finished. Opening contenders Scene It All delivered some punchy late 90s/early 00s nostalgic Emo Pop Punk.
